About The Parsonage
The Parsonage is a superbly situated, charming Victorian house close to the picturesque medieval towns of Axbridge and Cheddar, offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation. It nestles on the southern flanks of the Mendips, overlooking the Somerset Levels. It lies in a very quiet and peaceful location, yet benefits from good access to the A38 and M5 motorway.
Within easy reach are the cathedral cities of Bath, Bristol and Wells. The Parsonage is well-situated for those wishing to break their journey en route to Bristol Airport and wanting to spend the night in an elegant B & B guest house. Similarly, it is an excellent location for visitors to the Bristol Corinthians Yacht Club , the Isle of Wedmore Golf course and Bristol Groundschool.
We offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation in three exceptionally well-appointed en-suite bedrooms, with double or twin beds and television with remote control. The large three-storey house is very tastefully decorated in a Victorian style, with each bedroom having its own individual character. Guests dine in our beautiful dining room, and are free to make use of the music room, with its baby grand piano or to stroll the extensive grounds.
All accommodation includes a full English breakfast. The Parsonage sits in 2 acres of grassland and woodland. The medieval town of Axbridge is a few minutes delightful walk away, where the visitor will find numerous restaurants, public houses and inns.
The Parsonage has ample private parking, something unusual in the area. It is possible for visitors to leave their car here when flying from Bristol International Airport. Similarly, we have space for up to three sailing boats to be parked here, for those lodging with us while sailing on the nearby Cheddar Reservoir.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate dogs within the Parsonage, but please contact us for further details.
